Historical Narratives:

Students wrote original historical narratives based on their acquired knowledge of the European Middle Ages, their knowledge of storytelling, and their knowledge of narrative elements and techniques. While preparing for this product, students read Castle Diary, a historical fiction text about a young man that moves to a castle to become a squire, and a young adult abridged version of The Canterbury Tales, which introduced students to authentic medieval literature and stories that will be a part of their academic careers in the future.
