WILDCAT WEEKLY
VOLUME 3 ISSUE 23
February 2, 2024
From the Office
From the Honor Roll Ceremony to Engineers of the Month celebration, scholars across YMLA were celebrated for their hard work and success. We continue to be amazed at how our scholars perform here at campus and beyond. The next time you are on campus we invite you to check out our data wall in the front wall inside the main hallway of the middle school building. Here you can view all kinds of data highlighting the hard work of our scholars. Separated by Prides, you can easily see who is leading the way in Pride points, percent of scholars on the Honor Roll, CCMR (College Career Military Readiness), scholarship earnings and more. Additionally, individual scholars are highlighted for their personal achievements. Bragging rights mean a lot here at YMLA so it has been great seeing our scholars checking out their Pride's data and working to improve.
If you have any questions about the data, please reach out to Ms. White at katherine.white@fwisd.org.
Honor Roll Ceremony
On Tuesday, A and A/B Honor Roll scholars were recognized during the Honor Roll Ceremony. We appreciate all of our Dream Team members, families, and community for joining us to celebrate these scholars.
FWISD Spelling Bee
Congratulations to 6th grade scholar Isaiah Perez for his runner-up finish in the FWISD Spelling Bee. We are extremely proud of Isaiah and look forward to his continued success here at YMLA and beyond.
Conventus Guest Speaker
YMLA scholars were treated to a special visit from Ty Beasley, Chief Talent Officer at RSM. Thank you for your time and support!
6th Grade ELA Camp
Sixth grade scholars participated in an intensive ELA camp last Friday filled with fun instruction and activities with Dream Team members. At the end of the day, scholars took a quick assessment to check their learning and most scholars got 75% correct or better. Great job scholars and teachers!
