"Piling Up" by Reese Reja
My subject matter was a chair that piles up with clothes in a stop motion video, the chair becomes full and congested until all the clothes crawl off of it. This connects to my overarching theme of how we occupy the spaces we live in, since it is displaying how our homes get congested and they get cluttered as a result of how we are feeling and our mental states. For me, it is a constant loop, like the video; my desk chair piles up as I get more busy and I become more stressed, and when I find the time or it finally starts to bother me, I clean the chair off. I believe that my video encapsulated this process perfectly.
