Gifted

Gifted Program

Martingrove Collegiate has been running the Regional Gifted Program in the West End for the past thirty years.

We offer a variety of gifted courses and many enrichment programs to enhance our students’ experiences in high school. A school board Identification, Placement and Review Committee (I.P.R.C.) must identify students as Gifted in order to gain entrance into the Gifted Program in Grade 9 and 10.

The gifted program is based on the Ontario Curriculum. In order to meet the learning strengths, interests and needs of the gifted learner, the program is differentiated by: Depth Breadth Pace Kind.

COURSES OFFERED

Course delivery is differentiated by breadth in that the content explores broad-based themes, and by depth and pace of topics.

Grade 10 - English, Math, Science, History

Grade 11 - English and Math
