Fourth Grade Zoo PBL

On December 14, 2022 the Zoo came to Munford Elementary School. The students in the fourth grade at MES have been studying animals and animal adaptations. Students were allowed to choose an animal to research. Then the students were tasked with learning everything they could about that animal's adaptations and ability to survive in it's habitat. Students typed a one paragraph informational essay about the animal, created a "wanted poster" about the animal, and then were asked to present their research to parents and community stake holders on Zoo Day! Students were encouraged to dress up as the animal they researched. Parents and community stakeholders were invited to walk through the "Zoo" on Dec. 14 from 9:45 - 10:30 a.m.
