Yiwen Li is a second-year M.A. student studying applied linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include using ChatGPT in language learning and using AI as a language tutor. Focusing on exploring the affordances of challenges of ChatGPT in language learning, she is currently in the process of applying for a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Technology, with a passion for exploring and analyzing the transformative impact of AI on teaching methodologies, learning experiences, and educational outcomes in language learning.
