Biyin Xu is a second-year student in the TESOL program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests lie in the use of technology in education, particularly in OpenAI, language assessment, and ESL teaching. Her research interest lies in the application of ChatGPT in teaching. GenAI has great potential to assist teachers in many aspects, such as providing feedback. Her current project explores whether GenAI can offer helpful feedback aligned with scores assigned by the teacher for intermediate ESL writing assignments. It is promising that teachers' workload can be reduced significantly with the assistance of ChatGPT.

Career Goals: Biyin would like to pursue a Ph.D. to delve deeper into these areas, contributing to the advancement of education through technology while further improving as an ESL teacher.
