Yilin Zhang is a first-year MA Applied Linguistics student at Teachers College, Columbia University, holds a B.A in Business Economics and Finance from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to joining Columbia, he taught English in various ESL and EFL institutes in the United States and China.

Yilin's academic interests focus on how Conversational AI/Automated Speech Recognition can enhance non-native English speakers' communication and speaking skills.

Additionally, he is enthusiastic about the potential applications of VR (Virtual Reality), and MR (Mixed Reality) in language teaching and learning. Yilin is committed to leveraging technology for the advancement of language education.
