Topic: Memoir: from Mom & Me & Mom by Maya Angelou
Goal:
Students will understand how memoirs use personal memories, dialogue, and description to reveal real experiences, emotions, and relationships.
Analyze Maya Angelou’s experiences to explore how family bonds and forgiveness shape identity.
Essential questions:
What can one generation learn from another?
How do dialogue and description help us understand the author’s feelings and experiences?
