Week 5 Term 4, Tuesday 10th November
Today you have the following tasks:
We will start with a kahoot, log in to Kahoot and load in the pin on the TV
Create a smoothie slide for Friday. You will have the following ingredients: Milk, banana, ice, peaches, weetbix, berry yogurt and ice
Create a measurement slide and answer these two questions: How do you correctly measure liquids? how do you correctly measure dry ingredients? See the links below to help you out
Design your own takeaway cup on google draw. See the links below to help you out
When we have finished we are going to start making a gift box for next week. Next week will not be a Master Chef Challenge, instead you will be making a gift for someone else (coconut ice and choc truffles). You need to make a gift box and a card for the person you will be gifting it to. Take your time! We want these to be special!

Week 2 Term 4, Tuesday 20th October
Today we are planning our Master Chef Challenge #2.
You should have a Google Slide Document already started that we will add on to every week. Today you need to add these slides:
Mystery box ingredients - Canned tomato, bacon, cheese, onion, capsicum, flour, yeast
Brainstorm - what could you make using these ingredients, list as many ideas as possible (remember you do not need to use all the ingredients)
Final idea - What food item will you be making on Friday, you need a name for your dish and a name for your group
Calcium - What is calcium? What does it do for the body? What foods do we get calcium from?
Kneading - What is kneading? How do you knead? What foods would you be making if you were using the technique "kneading"?
If you finish all this you can make a poster for your dish and/or a takeaway container for your item. See the links below to help you with your work.

Today we are going to go over some routines, expectations and personal hygiene in the cooking room.
TASK ONE: Personal Hygiene
Watch the following videos and take a look at the pictures and weblinks which outline personal hygiene in a commercial kitchen.
Create a poster, google slide, google draw (or visual representation of your choice) to outline what is important in personal hygiene in a kitchen and why. You must have at least 5 main points. Make sure you save this in your shared folder so Miss Cameron can see it.
