        Due to the concern over the huge pollution caused by plastic wastes to the earth, in order to achieve the goals of environmental protection and resource recycling, Da.Ai Technology has gathered the strength of Tzu Chi volunteers to recycle discarded plastic bottles that damage the natural ecology. In addition, Da.Ai Technology integrates upstream and downstream manufacturers, utilizes technology, and then convert textile raw materials into environmentally friendly recycled products in people's daily life to recreate new value. The most well-known recycled product is the “environmentally friendly blanket,” which is donated to those in need. Da.Ai Technology’s investment and surplus will all be donated back to Tzu Chi Foundation for charity, domestic and foreign disaster relief and social welfare, which creates an endless cycle of power of goodness.

Tzu Chi Neihu Park Eco-Station

         Today we visited Tzu Chi Neihu Park Eco-Station under the guidance of volunteer guide. Firstly, the volunteer showed us around the “Lele Farm” exhibition area to help us understand the carbon footprint of foo. We learned that we have already produced a lot of carbon dioxide since breakfast. Secondly, the volunteer opened the window, took out food models, and scanned the barcodes. Afterwards, the carbon emissions of meat buns, vegetable buns, beef burgers and other foods were successively displayed on the LCD screen. We discovered that the carbon emission of meat was the largest, and that of vegetable buns was the smallest, which strongly contrasted the gap between meat and vegetarian food on the environment. Therefore, those who care for the earth should eat as much vegetarian as possible.
        Thirdly, we came to the exhibition area of “Hot Spring Hall” and learned about how the strong wind and heavy rain brought by the typhoon cause landslides in the mountainous area to submerge the houses, as well as the serious damage to the environment. Thick soil was piled up in the hot spring hall to enable visitors to experience the feeling of shoveling soil. The volunteer emphasized that although typhoon is horrible, the damage can still be mitigated. The volunteer called on everyone to eat more vegetarian food and reduce the development of hillsides.
        Afterwards, we came to the third exhibition area of “Ocean Soup,” where there were Yakult bottles, PET bottles, plastic bags, paper cups, straws, etc. floating on the water. The volunteers explained the current issues of marine debris affecting the ecological environment. For example, disposable plastics, such as straws and disposable tableware have been discarded in large quantities, and countless sea turtles, dolphins, seabirds, and fish have died of eating plastic by mistake. Plastic wastes will be decomposed into plastic particles, and such harmful substances will be accumulated in marine organisms. Human beings have eaten seafood for a long time, resulting in the accumulation of non-decomposable plastic particles in the human body and serious impact on health. It is everyone’s shared responsibility to reduce the amount of plastic used, avoid littering plastic waste, and strengthen recycling.
