All new students are required to have completed registration by Friday 17 October at the latest.
All new Home students should be able to complete registration via the Online Registration screens in Sussex Direct. There is no need to attend an in-person registration session – but home students will need to attend to collect their ID card. Collection of an ID card will trigger confirmation to the SLC that the student has arrived and will release any maintenance loan payment they are expecting.
International students who are on a student visa (i.e. the University has issued them a CAS) will need to complete as much of the online registration process as possible and then attend an in-person registration session in the Student Centre. These sessions are organised by Faculty and commence on Monday 22 September. We will be holding drop-in sessions between Friday 19 and Sunday 21 September for any students arriving early or who would like to complete registration over the Arrivals Weekend. Students have been sent instructions of when and what to bring to complete registration. A further set of drop-in sessions will be available between Wednesday 1st and Friday 3rd of October for any student arriving late or who missed their faculty slot. International students attending one of these sessions will receive their ID card as part of the process. The timetable will be published on the Student Hub later this week and will also be found in the Box folder linked above.
Any international student arriving after the 3 October and by the 17 October should be asked to attend the Student Centre, where colleagues will be on hand to complete registration.
Most international PGT students will be required to pay 50% of their tuition fees prior to attending for an in-person registration session.
International students, not on a student visa complete the registration process on-line, including the upload of key documents (copy of passport etc) which the UKVI compliance team will check. They do not need to attend for an in-person session but will need to attend to collect their ID card.
Students not registered by the close of play on the 17 October will be deemed not to be a University of Sussex student and will be withdrawn.
All continuing students are required to complete registration by Friday 17 October
Students with an outstanding tuition fee debt from the previous academic year will not be able to re-register until the debt has been settled. Students in this position will have received an email from the Chief Finance Office setting out what they need to do before they can complete re-registration.
Students not re-registered by the close of play on the 17 October will be deemed not to be a University of Sussex student and will be withdrawn.
