Fire Alarm Tannoy Announcement
The fire alarm has been activated. Please leave the building immediately by the nearest emergency exit [repeat]
Alarms
The Alarm panels are situated in the Book Sorter room.
These are attached to the alarmed fire exits on the ground floor and basement levels, the accessible toilets and the accessible North Basement Lift.
If the alarm sounds: check the light on the alarm panel.
Once checked, the alarm can be muted by pushing the 'Mute Sounder' button.
Go and check the area that set of the alarm and call security on #3333 if assistance is required
Check Fire Exit doors are closed firmly
Reset the Alarm in the accessible toilets by pressing the switch behind or above the door.
Check the lift is working and 'reset' the alarm using the 'Mute Sounder' button on the main panel.

Check lift is fully functional
The Glass fire door in the North Basement has a new alarm. This cannot be heard from the LSD and isn't connected to the fire panel, but will be reported by users.
To shut the alarm off you need the Key (Red keyring on the main bunch).
Turn the key clockwise in the alarm itself to stop the alarm, a
Turn anticlockwise to reset the alarm once the door is closed.
