The Children's Hour

Periodically, a play requires a more intimate setting than the wide open auditorium with its 1100 seats. The Children's hour is one of those plays. Written in 1934, the play can seem a little wordy and in order to have an audience's attention captured, the choice was made to place the audience on stage. This had not been done at Chaparral since 2011's Steel Magnolias, so it was fresh for the current group of students.
