A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night's Dream was the first Shakespeare production directed by Como while at Chaparral. The best way of describing the show was that the forest was so effective, when it was revealed, it got applause. Audience members were shocked at how the crew could have made the forest appear in such a short time. The trick was of course that it had been there the whole time. It had just been successfully hidden by wagons across the stage that created the very sterile scenes at the palace.
