Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof was the first production directed by Como at Chaparral. The Performing arts team had a lot of pressure creating the first school wide musical after the previous director, Debbie Carrick, and technical director, Joel Lauren had repeatedly demonstrated such amazing work. Fiddler is an iconic show and audiences come into the show expecting a certain look and feel. It is not the type of show that a director fixes a concept onto for originality. There were, however, certain moments in the play that stayed true to the material but brought the work into the audience, literally. the cast did a candle light procession into the auditorium and onto the stage for the wedding scene. The play would not have been nearly as successful if it were not for the incredible cast and crew, who were willing to give a new director the trust to make it happen.
