A diving board is a procedure used to help upright molars that are growing in not the most ideal position.
In most cases use topical gel to numb the tissue in between the molars where the diving board is going to go (typically in between the contacts of the 6 and 7). If the patient prefers being numb with an injection you can always have that ready as well.
Make sure to have an updated x-ray that has been taken within 2-3 months
