Scratchboard

The Winter Bull

12x9

The main idea that guided this art was my picture of Bosco and the work of scratchboard.

It was made by taking sharp tools and scratching off the black ink but not scratching so much that it gets past the white and becomes gray or there is a hole in the paper.

The process of making the art was first I had to find a picture that I liked then turned it black and white to see if it still looked good and was possible to do. Then transferred the picture onto the scratchboard by covering the entire back of the picture in graffiti, taping the picture to the front of the scratchboard, and then carefully going line by line tracing the picture on the board because it will indent with pressure. After that, I started scratching off the ink carefully because if you mess up and scratch a part that you weren't supposed to then you cant fix it. So I did it little by little taking my time and making sure I can see where I'm going because even though it made an indent on the board it doesn't mean that you can see it all that well.
