Realistic Self - Portrait

The main idea for both of these pieces was that I could shade from dark to light.

They were both made with graffiti but the self portrait also was made with colored pencil.

When doing shading for the value strip I had to know which pencils I had to use and then made sure that they blended into each other smoothly and not so much that it goes to one shade and then to another.

With my self portrait I had to go through the process of what picture of myself I wanted to draw then figuring out what shades of pencils would work for certain areas. Some were darker in some places and then in other places they were lighter.
