Hopes Eyes On The Toast

I got inspired from the photographer Seth Casteel. Certainly I have to say that he was not my first choice. First I wanted to take pictures that got inspired by Sandro Miller. However after a time I recognize that I have no human model. So I try it with the lovely Seth.

My subject was now to take pictures from dogs that can be funny. My first idea was taking pictures from the dogs in the bathtub because I could not find another source of water. But it turned out that my dogs are too afraid of the water and that they are too feisty. So it was not possible to take pictures with water. Then I looked for a long time on the pictures from Seth Casteel and I remember why he took them The goal was to present the dog and to show his character. Next I start to organize a good light source because I was inside with the dogs because of the beautiful weather outside. Rain. Dark. Then I start slobber around with them and Hersh took the chance and twisted himself as far as he could. Then he took his toy and played around with it. I took my mobile and the torch (my light source) and taught the ray on him. It was mite hard to take sharp photos because he was rolling around really fast. Eventually I got a few funny pics. Then I took Hope and slobber around with her but she was really energetic and hard to control because she was bouncing around. Unfortunately I was not able to take a sharp photo because I was alone so it was difficult to hold her away from me. I understand that I run out of steam so I settle her. While I was regarding my pictures I ate a sandwich. Hope was as always a good observer if I might drop something. That was the moment when I got the idea. I took my torch taught the ray on Hopes face and took a close-up from her eyes. And she sat quietly and let it please as long as she could continue to stare at my sandwich. So I got a few good pics that I sended on my computer and start to add them. I changed the colour a little bit on Hersh's picture to monochrome because I wanted that it looks a little bit like the retro style. On Hopes pictures I actually did not really changed something. I just make it a little bit sharper and put the colour little bit colder.
