Time Capsule Drawings

Interpret Meaning:

I did a lot of self observation for these pieces and observation of a still life (building). Two of the pieces are of my own body, and the other is a drawing of the barn on my property.

Describe Materials:

I used a gel pen for two of the drawings- after outlining in pencil I added the pen in dots and small strokes. For my self portrait I used colored pencil.

Describe Process:

I used a lot of dotting for my pen pieces and I attempted to blend and make realistic color schemes with the colored pencil. ggfI began with simple outlines and added pen lines and dots or filled in with layers of colored pencil to make a completed image. To improve upon this piece in the future, I would add a background to my portrait and maybe add watercolor or color of some sort to my pen drawings in the background to give them more depth.
