Materials: General's CHARCOAL 557-6B + 557-2B, General's CHARCOAL WHITE 558, White charcoal stick, tortillon, liquid black ink, Royal Clear Choice 5250 paint brush.

Artist Statement: This art assignment I was assigned to create a realistic portrait based off of a picture. The materials used to create this piece were some I had never worked with before. I had never used charcoal to create a realistic drawing or liquid ink with a paint brush. My favorite part about this project is watching the piece come to life. At some points throughout the process I wasn't sure how well it would come out, but in the end it turned out exactly how I wanted it.
