artist statement:
I was inspired by hibiscus plants and I could use something to hold my jewelry so I created a hibiscus jewelry holder. the hardest part was probably blending together underglaze to get a good gradient. If I could do it again i would spend more time on the little stem thing poking out of the flower.
how it was made:
I first made the pinch pots then attached then together to create the flower shape
I added the stem thing in the middle
then I underglazed it
then it was bisque fired
after it was bisque fired i added clear glaze to make it shiny then it was fired again.
