My name is Olivia and I am currently a 12th grade student at San Marin High School. I have a brother that also goes to this school. He is a junior this year. You would think that being the youngest child of two in my home is the best, but it's not all great.
I participate in one sport and have been for almost my whole life: gymnastics. I am a gymnast at Novato Gymnastics. I started at the age of three and my gym is my second home. I practice twelve hours a week and am very devoted to my team and coaches. I am currently in level 7 and I hope to compete level 8 this upcoming season but my recent injury has prevented me from doing that. A few months ago, I hyperextended my elbow and I couldn't do a lot. I constantly became frustrated at practices and became discouraged. It was a slow recovery but I am now back to doing most of things I could do before my injury. I love my supportive team and I always look forward to going to practice, even though it's three hours.
I also play the piano. I am not as interested in playing the piano as gymnastics, but I still enjoy it. My piano teacher is actually my friend's grandma, so whenever I have to practice with my teacher, I get to hang out with my friend. It's a win-win.
