For our final step of our Capstone Project, our group focused on the presentation and sharing of results to conclude our findings. We've compiled and finalized reports, analyzations, presentations, sketches, and modeling to present our project idea at our last STEM night.
Throughout the course of this project in the semester, there were some areas where I showed strength, such as leadership and communication. I showed strong leadership skills when we, as a group, were all off task and behind on a lot of our assignments. When I realized this, I helped delegate the work in an efficient manner so everything could get done as soon as possible. Organizing our priorities contributed to the overall success of our project and strengthened our work ethic. As for communication, when a part of our presentation needed to be done, I reached out to the group members that I needed the voice overs from to complete our final presentation. My communication, not just for this part of the project, but also throughout it benefitted to the success of our group as a whole.
In the future, I would like to work on my time management skills and participation skills. There were times where I was off track and not doing my portion of the project, which led to me doing work last minute. My lack of time management due to procrastination caused us to be behind in our assignments. In college and my future careers, I would like to practice managing my time by planning ahead. I'd also like to participate more in group projects like these. Our capstone idea consisted of something that wasn't an area of expertise for me personally. However, this shouldn't stop me from doing my part of a project despite my lack of knowledge. I will take this as an opportunity to learn for myself and from others. Hopefully I can carry on these skills with me in the future. I've learned a lot from the STEM program and will continue to use what I've gained in my future career.
