For this project, we were assigned to revisit some of our previous work and do it better or slightly different. For our project, we decided to improve our STEM Outdoor Space project.
For this project, I worked with Noah Kerns. We decided to improve on our STEM Outdoor Space project because it was something that I really enjoyed and I had some ideas for designs. The space that we focused on was my backyard. My parents wanted to re-do our backyard so I decided to help them out by incorporating it with my STEM project. Before we did anything, I had to get pictures of the current backyard. Once I did that, we started off by accumulating the measurements for the backyard so I could make the blueprints. After I got the measurements, I made a before blueprint and an after blueprint. Then, Noah and I divided up the work evenly; I made the models for the backyard and Noah calculated the cost of everything. When making the model of the finished backyard and the blueprint, I wanted to make the backyard neat and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I made sure the blueprints were drawn to scale and everything was evenly placed.

Throughout the process of this project, I feel that I worked strongly in Collaboration and Conscientious Learner. I was able to work well with my teammate and evenly divide up the work. I did my part in the project and so did my partner. I worked productively and efficiently while managing my time and taking initiative when necessary.
However, I could have worked on Communication and Character. I feel that I could've communicated with my teammate more often to check in. I also wasn't always aware of what my parents wanted for the backyard. And when I asked and couldn't get an immediate answer, I wasn't very patient towards them. I need to be more mindful of everyone to help others and myself in the future.
Overall, I think this was a really good project to end the year with. I liked that it had a very wide range of projects that could've been done. Our project turned out to be a success and I can't wait to continue doing more as a sophomore.
