Food Project

For this project we started off by learning about how what we buy from stores impacts our environment. We took some information from what we learned and used it to make an impact. One of the concepts was change the menu which is having a meal of something grown from a local farm/market. We did just that, we will go into further detail in the slideshow sown below.

Major concepts

Some major concepts that were stressed in this unit were how Food from local markets are better for you and the environment. Food that is not grown within 150 miles of where you buy it means it is probational processed a lot. The process on how food goes from being grown to on our plates; being harvested, to on a truck, to a factory, to a grocery store, and then to you eating it. All the ways to improve the ways of eating our produce to help us, local markets and farms, and lastly our environment.

Reflection

I personally think we did pretty good. Of course there is a lot of things we could have done better, for example we could have done a better meal that consisted more locally grown foods. I did really well on communication, in fact my group in general did well. We all took in each others ideas and gave a thought about them. Another thing I think I did well on is problem solving, we did struggle at first on finding a food because we were thinking to big and we settled on just eggs with something on the side. I think as a group we did very well.
