My sports + goals

My sport

The sport that I am currently playing is football. I have been playing football almost all my life and in general my family has been very involved with it. To be a good player you need to have a handful of things, it depends on the position. But id say the main few things are strength, awareness, and raw talent. You need to have a feel for the game, some people are born with it, some arent. For my specific position, (Line) from the skill related components I need power, reaction time, and coordination. For the most part though every position needs a little but of everything. It wouldnt hurt to have.

My goals

My main goal this season was a team goal. At the very start of the season I saw the potential and talent of this team so I started thinking about a goal. My main goal was to go undefeated. As Im writing this, sadly, we are 7-1. We lost our most recent game against Marin Catholic. It was a great game, the score was 30-27 and it came down to the very last minute. It sucked but at the moment we have 2 games left and we are trying to make the most of it.


Evaluation

Sadly this season we didnt finish undefeated but we did finish 9-1. Im currently pulled up to varsity for playoffs. Playing football has increased my strength by a lot. I can see this in the gym. My bench has increased from 95 to 175. My squat went from 135 to 245. My deadlift went from 225 to 295. That one loss we took was painful but im excited to be recognized by the coaches and prove I can play the next level.
