Dylan Falk - Proof of Efficacy Document for Trebuchet

Our task

The task was to create a catapult and make objects like clay and rubber caps land far away from were they started.

About the Catapult

The catapult was built similar to others, it has big blocks of wood on the bottom for stability and also weight. We added wieght to it so most of the energy would go into the arm and fling the object far away.

Catapult Changes

At first we had the catapult launching the object 20 meters at average then we added more rubber bands and then it went 5 extra meters and left it at that.

What we did well

We worked well with each other with building. We made are catapult fast and quality. We were very communicative and worked well with each other.

What we could work better on.

We could stay on task more and be quicker at loading the catapult.

The Task

The was for a Car to roll 5 meters and get the passengers there safely. The passengers were a bunch of pennies rolls. It had to start at 0 meters and roll and stop at 5 meters exactly.

About are Zipline

Are Zip line is made with fishing line, wood planks, and pennies rolls.

Car Progress

At first, we going to do a car and didn't know what it was going to look like. A few days later we decided to do a zip line because it was different. We started to get a long piece of wood and cut a short piece from it. Then we attached a 25lb fishing line to both sides and a pully to hang the cart on with the pennies inside. Then we had to not stand on it so it wouldn't fall over so we put anchor points on it so it would not fall over.

What we Did Well

We worked well with each other with communication, We talked a lot and we also worked off each others great ideas. We had good ideas that went far and saved us time, like rapping the string around a stick so it would not get tangled. We were focused most of the time and were good at teamwork.

What we Could Improve on

We could get better at recording our progress while we go on. We could also get better at staying on task the whole time and not get distracted.
