Winter Concert

The winter concert I personally think was our best yet. We had a long time to prepare for it and it really let us master the songs. We also had a festival where we got constructive feedback from a judge that helped us play the songs even better. One of the C´s we have used in this class is collaboration. An example of us collaborating is when we have a syncopated part. That means we all play together. When people get the notes or the rhythm wrong the others help them and teach them the right way. The Second C we use is contentious learner. We have to do this C in Jazz Band by managing our time, self reflecting, and taking initiative. We manage our time all the time. For example showing up to concerts and rehearsals on time. We self reflect all the time too. For example correcting yourself after playing wrong notes or the wrong rhythm. Taking initiative is a big part of helping others in our class. For example taking initiative to helps others with their music and instrumental problems. I personally think the concert went really well. I think the trumpets could have been a little less blatty on a couple parts on great minds swing a like but other than that I think the performance went very well. One thing that I could have done better is oil my valves before the performance. Overall it was a really fun and a good learning opportunity.
