Summary: In this project we were tasked to make an alternative energy vehicle, my group choose wind powered. At first we ran into a couple problems; what material should we make the sail out of? What should the passengers go in? And it was not very windy outside. So we solve the problems, we simulated the wind with a fan and we made this car.We did not have a spring PE because we used wind energy

  • We used wind energy. To run our tests we use simulated wind by using a box fan. We did not move it or turn it off
  • Wind energy is kinetic energy being converted to mechanical power.
  • Using wind energy we got our car to move 5.3 meters.

PE= π/2(r^3)v^3(p)η

PE= 5 J

Below is a chart of our PE, KE, TE, total energy, distance vs time, velocity vs time, and acceleration vs time.

Reflection: One C we really did a lot in this project is conscientious learner we used it when we had to manage our time when we needed to finish it by a certain date and self reflection when we needed to self reflect on our car and make it work/ make it better.I would like to keep working on this C in our future projects because I feel like its a very good skill/ soft skill to have.
