The FRESH Basic Needs Hub offers a variety of services to UCI students facing food insecurity.
Hours : Monday - Friday from 10AM-5PM.
Location: 4079 Mesa Rd., Irvine, CA 92617 (It is a portable style building in Parking Lot 5 near Mesa Court Housing)

If you find yourself in need of assistance to purchase food, consider applying for the CalFresh program. This is a federal program that is funneled through Orange County offering financial assistance for purchasing food at grocery stores and farmers markets.
(You need to be a U.S. citizenship or Legal Permanent Residency (LPR) to be eligible for this program)
Check your eligibility here. Eligibility requirements change every October 1st.
It can take about 30 days to process. If you need more immediate food assistance, please visit the FRESH Basic Needs HUB or another local food bank.
You can schedule an appointment with someone at the FRESH Basic Needs Hub to get help with the CalFresh application process.
Orange County's Second Harvest Food Bank is another local resource for anyone facing food insecurity.
Location: Varies. Use the Free Food Map to find a location or mobile pantry closest to you.
This organization also provides CalFresh Application assistance via appointments and workshops
