UC SHIP Dental Benefits

Always review the current plan booklet for up to date coverage information. There is a new plan booklet released each year.

Dental services do not require a referral authorization from the Student Health Center.

• 2019-2020 Provider: Delta Dental PPO (https://www.deltadentalins.com/ucship/ )
  • Log in to/Register for online services to find group information, get cost estimates, find a dentist, get coverage information, or to contact Delta Dental. Delta Dental also has a free App available for download.

Delta Dental does not provide ID cards, you need only give your dentist the group information found at the link above. If you WANT an ID card, you can print one yourself after registering for online services on the Delta Dental UC SHIP page. Alternatively, you can access a digital ID card on the App.

Finding a Dentist

Tip: If changing dentists, fill out a Authorization for Release of Dental Information form to ensure your dentist will be able to access your past dental records.

If covered through UC SHIP, use the current provider's website (linked on SHC Dental Insurance page at the top of this page) to find an in-network dentist or to see if your current dentist is in-network.

If your dentist is not in the PPO network, you will likely be paying more for services.
