I have been using my reflective practices skills beyond mid-project and final reflections to reflect on feedback received from peers, such as with the feedback I received for Prototype 3.
Been using the reflection I was doing with feedback to determine what to do with the feedback.
Also been using reflective practices to reflect on my current skills and how they could improve to benefit the team and the work we produce, such as communicating with the rest of the team or leading the Prototype 3 team.
Time management skills was not managed well until around the end of the trimester, around showcase when we were pushing to get everything done.
I am going to trial a time-based to-do list for delegating tasks to specific days each week to help improve time management skills.
Project management skills was also not the best but managed to sort this earlier for prototypes and level design, but failed to do so for learning journal until the end of the trimester.
Wrote up to-do list of tasks to do for prototype and level design as sticky note on computer and scratched off tasks as I completed them.
Communication skills were okay at the start of the trimester, if not communicating a bit too much about unimportant things.
Communication skills improved as I had to maintain better communication with my team for Prototype 3 as I had leader role.
Collaboration skills were good as I began Prototype 3 and level design stuff, as I was able to work well alongside others on projects and didn't interfere with anything anyone else was doing most of the time (couple of cases where I missed communication and accidentally caused a merge issue with level design project).
Took on some additional tasks when I could to help the team, such as populating and finishing Nordic level for level designer who was overworked, but couldn't always do so due to time, such as converting main project GDD site into a document.
Problem solving skills were pretty good, there were a few cases where I was able to solve problems that I had encountered, such as giving proper corrections for members of my prototype group that brought back incorrect work or having to shift project schedule to accomodate for changes and ease workload, as well as working together with others to solve an issue that was hard to fix alone.
Leader role in prototype group gave me some experience on what to do and what not to do with solving problems encountered when working on a project with a team, such as always keeping cool when members of the group mess up or correctly analyzing scope of project based on time.
Critical thinking was okay, there were some cases where I used it to detect discrepancies such as with a member of my prototype group getting recalled information wrong and insisting that it is the right information.
Could use some improvement though as I sometimes fail to do research into what I'm thinking or talking about, such as with authoritative sources or even standard sources about an area that needs researching or improvement, such as with relevance of traps to their levels or even things about myself such as workflow.Â
