This class is dedicated to working in Games Studio 1.
In order to create games, we must be able to manage the complexity of the game development process. To do this successfully, we require common languages and structures that support the variety of disciplines involved. We must also build familiarity with toolsets and existing industry practices, and be able to formulate and execute clear plans for delivering high-quality game assets and features on time. It is also essential to formalise the lessons learned during development through reflection and by writing a "post mortem" after a project is complete.
In this module, I work in a team to pitch, design, plan and deliver a game in response to a brief. This includes learning and applying a range of teamwork and organisational skills with my peers, as well as the feedback, testing, and iteration processes for the game itself. It extends on my existing skill-sets in design and scripting to craft a broader range of gameplay systems and features.
