How did it go? Explain what you did, what that tells you/how you felt, and what you'll do next time.
Because I didn't attend class for week 1 for personal reasons, I can't actually reflect on anything I did in class. I can only do the transferable skills reflection activities for this week, which you'll find below.
Week 1: Professional
Question 1
Who is someone professional you admire? How do they make you feel when you watch them operate, what is it that they do?
Answer 1
A person I really admire in the games industry is Hideo Kojima. Kojima is a Japanese video game designer who has previously worked with well-known Japanese video game company Konami Holdings Corporation (or just Konami) and currently runs his own video game studio, Kojima Productions. He is known for designing/directing the popular Konami game franchise Metal Gear, as well as his work on the cancelled Silent Hills P.T.
Hideo Kojima is an inspiration to me. He blurs the line between movie and game in his story-driven games (you could call it an interactive movie), and his games are typically very polished and well-made. It motivates me to do great things of my own in the industry, and is in fact a factor as to why I came to SAE to develop my skill in game development in the first place.
Hideo Kojima, my inspiration for game-making. [1]

Answer 3

Question 4
If you buy a ticket to go to a (insert event) what do expect in return for your hard earned money in terms of time, money, level of performance, entertainment value and skill level?
Answer 4
Well, the answer to that question changes based on what specific event we're talking about here. For example, if I buy tickets to go and see a movie in cinemas (and of course I'm watching the movie unironically unlike something like Morbius), I expect to watch a movie that:
will keep me hooked at least most of the time;
is visually convincing, such as CGI (if applicable) that fits the quality of the movie so that it doesn't bring down the movie;
will provide me with an experience that lasts for a good amount of time (at least the standard movie length); and
doesn't have utterly crap writing,
among other things.
Obviously, these exact points don't completely apply if I were to go and buy tickets for a music concert, but the general premise remains. I expect a solid experience where things don't basically fall apart and that I can put in my memory filing cabinet as a good memory.
Morbius: an example of a movie I would only watch ironically. [2]
