General notes
Representation is a written, audio or visual depiction of someone or something.
Ideology is a system of beliefs that shape collective or personal views.
Four methods (plan, tool, framework) of analysing representation:
Image analyses: what can we overtly see?
Narrative analyses
Who wins?
Protagonist/antagonist
What the protagonist learns/how they change
Stylistic/formalist: aesthetics, "style"
Ideological
