General class notes

• Leave the week 1 before-class activities for the last thing to do before class in week 2. Make sure to do week 2 pre-class activities first.

• Project 1 is writing a fictional dystopian story set in the future that engages with 1-2 of the following key concepts:

  • Power

  • Media-bias

  • Privacy

  • Surveillance

• Use the news on TV or sources on YouTube about technology, etc. as a starting point for the topic of this story.

• Story can be a paragraph of dot-points and uses articles to help the topic.
