This is my documentation for ANI171.1: Micro Production. This document contains everything I've done for this project, such as the final renders (also found in Part 3: Submission on this learning journal page), the research I conducted and processes I used to model, texture and render the final models, and my mid-project and project-completion reflections, as well as the weekly study topics we were encouraged to complete.
This is the Padlet page for my project 1 of ANI171, which is an alternative submission medium to replace learning journals. I didn't use this Padlet while I was working on this project as I opted to use a document instead (see Project 1 Documentation above), and all the information on this Padlet was added after the completion of this project.
Use Padlet if you prefer viewing information through this medium. Otherwise, see Project 1 Documentation above.
Image: The 1080p render of a very simple red house with a glowing face inside of it (using an emission material), set up in a basic scene containing a blank plane, a dark blue skybox, and a red and blue area light surrounding the house. Made using Maya 2024.
Image: The 1080p render of the final table for the bedroom scene, featuring a light brown desktop with two cable holes (that look more like rounded squares than circles as I didn't get the technique right) and dark grey leg boards. This design is based off the oak & ironstone desk from Office Stock. Made using Maya 2024.
Image: The 1080p render of the final bed for the bedroom scene, featuring a light-brown bedframe with four inner legs and a backboard, a very light grey mattress and a set of two yellow pillows. This design is based off the SIMPLE HI design from Zeitraum. Made using Maya 2024.
Image: The 1080p render of the final bedroom scene, featuring all three assets shown above placed within a 4.3 x 3 metre hollowed-out box representing the room, with white walls, a single green painted wall on the right, a light brown floor to represent a wooden floor, curved cove moldings and four LED panels on the ceiling set up with spotlights. The green wall was inspired by my computer room in my house. Made in Maya 2024.
Final mark (Tuesday, 31 October 2023, 2:24 PM): High Distinction
Comment from lecturer (Rachel Freitas, Campus Online): Well done Mitch, you have done more than the project required and that is perfect considering your skillset heading into the unit. I am very pleased that you decided to use the project to further your own understanding and you have presented this information very well. Looking forward to seeing your Progress for P2 and keep up the great work. Thank you!
