Development of an Idea
We were given 3D templates to help us show our mosquito coil holder however I find this process really time consuming because I struggle to draw my mosquito coil holder at an angle.
Unfortunately my work has been deleted from the school's I-pad so I have to start over again without the template. This means that I have to trace off of my foam design instead of using a template.Â
I use the picture on the left as a reference photo this allows me to trace off of the picture of the Foam model onto Procreate this works because Procreate has a select tool which allow me to select the background which I didn't need and delete it making an Image with a transparent background. Afterward I dragged and dropped the resin and wood textures from safari before using the select tool again to select the part I wanted to be wood or resin and deleted everything around it.
Shadows and reflections is then added by using the Soft brush from the Air brush category to create shadows on one side to show where the light source is as well as making it stand out and the reflection is then added on the opposite end.
Afterward I added texts explaining about each ideas as well as adding a few finishing touches such as grids textures to make my design stand out even more.
