    • Wanted to a strong Germany so that it would be a buffer (obstacle) against Russia

  • • Tiredness from the consequences of WW1

• S - Sympathy for Germany

  • • Britain and France felt that TOV was unfair

    • Natural for Hitler's expansion

• U - Unpreparedness for war

  • • Too much territories to defend

    • "Run away to fight another day"

• M - Misunderstanding on Hitler

  • • Thought that Hitler would stop at "German" regions only

• Munich agreement

  • • Czechs were not invited to Munich agreement/ Dictate/ Betrayal

    • Military alliance between Czech and France was not honored
