    • Public meetings had floodlights, military music and military marches by Nazi supporters

  • • Managed to get the support of the rich

    • Rich thought that Nazi Germany would be strong and good for economy

    • Rich were worried about the growing support for the Communists

    • Thought Hitler was best defence against Communism

• Hitler came to power

• Other political parties were unable to work together against him

• Hindenburg appointed Hitler as chancellor in Jan 1933
