Christ our Teacher

In worship this week, we look ahead to the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year B). Jesus makes an impression on the people in the synagogue as he teaches them, unlike others, with authority and integrity.

Our children are surrounded by teachers in all walks of life; school, clubs, Church and home. In fact, the Church has always been clear that parents are the very first and very best teachers of their children (even if we don't always feel like that!)

We're asking children this week what they think makes a great teacher - a potentially dangerous question! However, it's important to remember that we can't teach others effectively until we have established a great relationship with them. The same is true of Christ.
