Our P4 - P7 learners are all provided with a chromebook as part of Stirling Council's Digital Development Scheme. All learners in the school and nursery also have access to a range of digital learning tools. As a school, we use digital technology to support and enhance learning and teaching. Attached is some information regarding Chromebook use and Creative Learning in Stirling Schools. This information explains how we put relationships and learner needs first, before we use Digital Tools. Technology in our schools thoughtfully assists learning, values active creation over passive behaviours, and establishes routines which help children build healthy digital habits for life.
In Stirling Council we have a Web Filtering system called Lightspeed. Web filtering is active at all times, 24 hours a day, on the Chromebook to prevent learners from accessing inappropriate content at school and at home. However, it is still the specific responsibility of the parent/carer to monitor the child’s use of the Chromebook if taken home.

We hope you find the attached infographic (Screens with Purpose: Active vs. Passive Technology) helpful as we work in partnership to support your child's digital learning and wellbeing.
