For Phase I, the team focused on understanding the problem at hand to create viable solutions. Phase I was considered the 'planning' stage for the rest of the project. The team had to create a project mission statement as well as research products currently on the market in the State of the Art Review. In addition to market research, the team had to understand the needs and specifications of the project from a customer need survey.

The team met this week to:
Create a concept generation table
Finalize concept designs
Finish writing the report
The team met this week to complete the above tasks. The team created a concept generation table and then the team proceed to finalize the concept designs. The team met with advisor Fontaine to go over the concepts that was created.

Create a Needs table and metrics table
Create a Gantt Chart
The team met this week to complete the above tasks. The team created a customer survey and brought it to the weekly advisor meeting to receive feedback on the questions before sending it out the following day.

The team decided to name their team MDO (Modular Desk Organizer), however this name could possibly change later in the process. The team researched existing products on the market and chose aspects of each product that they wanted to include in their future product.
