In this workshop, we will walk through our own experiences in developing and planning projects for work, provide tips and lessons learned in that process, offer opportunities for participants to share their own experiences, and leave participants with tools and techniques.

In this session, we discuss what the Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles are, the history of its creation, why adults learn about this and “how to work with youth”, and how you can leverage this knowledge to advocate for yourself and your projects in the workplace. Perhaps more importantly, you’ll also learn why you deserve self-advocacy and why it truly does matter for you as a young person to exist in these professional workspaces.

Information covers what the system is, what kinds of tools were used to incorporate youth-adult partnership through the design process, and ways youth and adults can take advantage of and support this new resource.
