Actions
Background
The Actions records allow you to document project-specific actions at any point in your project, and to maintain a reportable log of these actions in PMWeb. Here, you can collaborate with other PMWeb users using the Collaboration feature, and relate an action to a specific PMWeb Deliverable or Meeting within your project.
Access: From the module menu, Records --> Actions

Actions Record Guidance
In a New Actions Record:
Populate your Project, Subject, Discipline, and Status information for the action.
Click Save to relate this new record to your selected Project in PMWeb.
Enter your Action Details.
Relate Deliverables and/or Meetings here.
Click the small Chevron>BI Reporting for reporting on this record.
Adding Actions Record Attachments
When your Actions record is successfully Saved, additional tabs appear.
Click the Attachments tab.
Click and Drag OR use the provided +Add option to add an attachment or link to your Actions record.
Click Save to save your new attachment.
Actions Record Collaboration
Collaboration in PMWeb begins with the record originator. To collaborate:
Click the Collaborate tab in the record.
Click +Add to open the Collaboration window.
3. Use the drop-down menu to select your Collaborator/s from the list.
4. Select your Collaboration permissions for this request.
5. Add a Due Date and personal Message, as needed.
6. Click Save and Return to exit this pop-up window.
Your Collaborators are now notified via email and in PMWeb. Collaboration history for this record then appears within your Collaboration tab.
Actions Record Notifications
Use Notifications to share an Actions record with any party, internal or external via email.
Click the Notifications tab in your saved record.
Click +Add to open your Notification pop-up window.
In your Actions Notification window:
3. Click the ellipse (3 dots) icon to select PMWeb system users in the To, CC, and BCC email line.
4. Manually add additional email addresses (separated by commas) to share this notification externally.
5. Add comments as needed.
6. Click Send to send the notification.
Additional options are available here.
Click to close the pop-up window as needed.
Your notification is now en-route.
Actions Record Reporting
To view a report for your selected Actions record:
Click the drop-down Chevron icon to the right of Print.
Select BI Reporting.
3. Click the Eyeglass icon in your Report preview window to view the full report.
4. Use the provided filtering menu to filter your Actions report as needed.
Filter left to right and then down to the next row.
5. Click View Report to update your filtering options.
6. Preview your report in the provided window.
7. Export your report as needed with the provided menu. Note that most reports should be exported using a PDF format instead of Excel except for the Projected Quantities record.
