Construction & Materials Pilot FAQ
How are projects be selected for the pilots?
We are working with regions and currently designated regional SME’s on the system implementation teams to help identify ideal project candidates that are best suited pilots that are getting underway this spring 2024.
What will training look like for PMWeb Construction and ATSER (LIMS) Materials?
Instructor-Led training will commence for those selected pilot projects by phases around a month prior to use. This will be a coordinated event with the identified project teams.
What happens if a project I am working on is currently started/ongoing/active in AASHTOWare SiteManager?
Most projects that start in AASHTOWare SiteManager will finish in AASHTOWare SiteManager. We will begin to evaluate any projects next spring (Conversion Projects Phase) that have potential into PMWeb and ATSER in coordination with regions. Once no active projects exist in AASHTOWare SiteManager it will be turned off.
Guidance
Project Manager Expectations: update records by the 2nd Monday of each month.

CDOT Staff on PMWeb
Project Flow Diagram
"The Project Flow Diagram is great for new Project Managers and for those new to PMWeb. It was my #1 resource as I got started."
Deliverables
"Get your Specialties buy-in on critical activities and planned completion dates in the Deliverables list early in the project lifecycle i.e. Pre-scoping or Scoping. I'm hearing from them that it's a good practice to build trust, communication and a strong foundation for project success. "
System Ideas
"PMWeb is always accepting new suggestions and ideas. Don't be afraid to let them know if a tool is confusing or giving you problems."
