Navigate among the various sections of the Home Page
Overview
The PMWeb Home screen (shown in the image below) is displayed every time a user logs into PMWeb. This screen includes a Home button, Portfolio Tabs, a Module Menu, a Project Portfolio Dashboard, and a Guided Help button.
To return to the Home screen from another page, click on the PMWeb logo (functions as a Home button) in the top-left corner.
Portfolio Tabs
Overview
The Portfolio provides personalized project information based on each user's unique projects and permissions.
Portfolio Tabs
Portfolio tabs enable users to navigate to and view different project summaries and reports. Tabs are "sticky," which means that the last tab selected is the tab that will display the next time a user opens PMWeb.
Project Portfolio Dashboard
Overview
The Project Portfolio Dashboard is displayed on the Home screen. It displays pertinent projects and project information based on selected filters. Projects can be filtered using the Project Count by Status graph or by the Ad Dates per Month graph.
Clicking on a Project Name link will show the Project Summary report for that project.
Module Menu
Overview
The Module Menu is located to the left of the PMWeb home screen, and is visible from any screen a user is working with. It is the primary navigation point within the system.
To expand or collapse the menu, click the arrow next to the PMWeb logo in the top-left corner.
Key Menu Options
Records: provides task-specific project records that can be updated quickly
Schedules: allows a user to view and update project schedule data as needed
Portfolio: houses Project records
Logging Out
To log out of PMWeb, click on the exit button at the bottom of the module menu.
Help Requests and System Ideas (not pictured)
The Modules menu also contains Help Request and System Ideas buttons. You can access more information on these functions on the Help Page and Development Page respectively.
Guided Help
Overview
Guided Help provides in-system guidance for specific tasks and workflows. Read more about Guided Help on the Guided Help page.
Location
The orange Guided Help button is located at the bottom of the Modules menu, right below the Exit button.
