How Do CORE and COMPAS Come Together?
With the implementation of Colorado’s Modernized Payroll Services (COMPAS), CORE and COMPAS will come together.
CORE (which stands for Colorado Operations Resource Engine) is the statewide ERP that currently manages the financial functions of Budget, Accounting, Inventory, and Procurement business activities across the State of Colorado under a single system. Payroll (COMPAS) is another function that will exist within the CORE system - they are not two separate entities.
This interconnectedness allows for a consolidation of functions into a single, secure system. While some users of the payroll module are already familiar with the CORE system through their current roles and responsibilities, other payroll and HR professionals will be using CORE for the first time with the migration of CPPS to COMPAS.
To align with this partnership, new branding has been introduced (see logo above) that is inclusive of CORE and COMPAS branding elements.
We are excited to bring State employees a single, integrated, modern platform that will standardize HR, payroll, and finance administrative processes, making it easier and more efficient to pay employees accurately and on-time.
